Member-Driven Projects

Executive Networks provides members with continuous value and strives to keep network members connected year round through Member-Driven Projects.  These projects can range from brief surveys on topics of specific interest, a 3-month member discussion forum moderated by a member, to a wiki driven interaction to build a new competency model.  The central characteristic of these projects is “member driven” which we believe equates to member value.  In each of these projects, Executive Networks is equal parts enabler, facilitator, moderator, tool provider, knowledge disseminator and archiver.

Recent Member-Driven Projects include:

  • A survey and webinar on Learning from Experience
  • An assessment of organization talent management systems
  • A webinar on how the concepts behind The Leadership Pipeline are being applied in organizations
  • A survey of Chief Learning Officer roles and responsibilities
  • A working group (supported by a wiki) who’s developing guidelines, examples and resources for using experience to develop specific leadership skills
  • A survey and webinar on Business Acumen capabilities and learning methods
  • A “book club” reading and teleconference discussion
  • A working group who’s attempting to define “leadership competencies”
  • The compilation of answers from members (via email responses and by interviews) to the following question:  "Does your company have measures of Return on Investment in Learning that are accepted by your senior leadership as valid, rigorous, and supportive of further investment in Learning?”
